Privacy policy and the exercise of your rights

For questions regarding privacy or the exercise of your rights under the law, please contact us using the contact details above.

When do we process personal data?

We process personal data that you actively transmit to us through your entries. We also automatically process personal data resulting from the use of our website. Your personal data may therefore be processed in the following cases in particular:
    • When you visit our website
    • When you contact us
    • Analyzing why which visitors come to our website and how they use it
    • Analyzing the success of our advertising measures
    • Personalization of advertising measures
    • Defense against attacks on our technical infrastructure

Refer to the following explanations for details

When you visit our website, the company we commission to operate the website processes and stores technical information on the terminal device you use (operating system, screen resolution and other, non-personal features) and the browser (version, language settings), in particular the public IP address of the computer with which you visit our website, including the date and time of access. The IP address is a unique numerical address under which your end device sends or retrieves data to the Internet. As a rule, we or our service provider do not know who is behind an IP address unless you provide us with data that allows us to identify you while you are using our website. Furthermore, a user may be identified if legal action is taken against him/her (e.g. in the event of attacks against our website) and we obtain knowledge of his/her identity during the course of the investigation. As a rule, you do not need to worry that we will be able to assign your IP address to you.

Our service provider uses the processed data, non-personal data for statistical purposes, so that we can trace which end devices are used with which settings while visiting our website in order to optimize it for these if necessary. These statistics contain no personal data. The legal basis for the compilation of the statistics is Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR.

    Contact inquiries.

If you send us a message via one of the contact options offered, we will use the data you provide us to process your inquiry. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in answering your request in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR. If your inquiry serves the conclusion of a contract with us, a further legal basis for processing is Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR. The data will be deleted after your request has been dealt with. If we are legally obligated to store the data for a longer period of time, the data will be deleted after expiry of the corresponding period of time.

The IP address will continue to be used so that you can technically access and use our website and to detect and defend against attacks against our service provider or our website. Unfortunately, there are always attacks to harm the operators of websites or their users (e.g. preventing access, spying on data, spreading malicious software (e.g. viruses) or other illegal purposes). Such attacks would impair the proper functioning of the computer center belonging to the company commissioned by us, the use of our website or its functionality and the security of visitors to our website. The IP address, including the time of access, is processed to defend against such attacks. Through our service provider, we carry out this processing with the legitimate interest of ensuring the functionality of our website and fending off illegal attacks against us and our website visitors. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR.

The stored IP data is deleted (by rendering it anonymous) when it is no longer needed for the recognition or defense of an attack.

This involves associating a pseudonymous identification number (ID) with your browser to help us verify which ads have been shown on your browser and which ads have been viewed. The cookies do not contain any personal information. The use of DoubleClick cookies enables Google and its partner websites to serve ads based solely on previous visits to our website or other websites on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transferred by Google to a server in the USA for evaluation and then stored there. Google observes the data protection regulations of the "US Safe Harbor" agreement and is registered with the "Safe Harbor" program of the US Department of Commerce. Google Googleadservices / Google AdWords Conversion

This website uses "online marketing" tools provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This is to detect that a visitor has found our website through a Google ad. Google uses cookies, which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of the use of the website. The cookies for the so-called "conversion tracking" are set when you click on an advertisement placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you wish to prevent "conversion tracking," you can set your browser to block cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com". You can also exercise your right to opt-out via the site: http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by Google, click here: https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated

    Use of Google Remarketing

This website uses the remarketing function of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). The function is used to present interest-based advertisements to website visitors within the Google advertising network. The technology enables us to serve automatically generated, targeted ads after your visit to our website. The ads are based on the products and services that you clicked on the last time you visited our website. For this purpose, a so-called "cookie" is stored in the visitor's browser, which makes it possible to recognize the visitor when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser when you visit our website. Google normally saves information such as your web request, IP address, browser type, browser language, date and time of your request. This information is used to assign the web browser to a specific computer. Google's advertising network pages may then display ads to the visitor that relate to content that the visitor has previously viewed on pages that use Google's remarketing feature. If you have agreed to Google's linking your browsing history to your Google Account under https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated and information from your Google Account is used to personalize ads, the remarketing feature will also work across devices. In this case, Google will collect your Google ID and use it for the purpose of cross-device recognition.

According to its own information, Google does not collect any personal data during this process. If you still do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can deactivate it by making the appropriate settings under http://www.google.com/settings/ads.

Alternatively, you can deactivate the use of cookies for interest-based advertising via the advertising network initiative by following the instructions under http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp or http://www.youronlinechoices.com/lu/praferenzmanagement You can also prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can find further information on how Google uses cookies in the Google privacy policy.

We use Google Web Fonts to display our website. This is a collection of fonts from Google LLC ("Google"), Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, which can be used especially for web pages. When your browser retrieves the font used by our website, the public IP address of the computer you are using is transmitted to Google LLC ("Google"), Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The IP address is a unique numeric address under which this computer sends or retrieves data to the Internet.

When you visit our website, your browser loads the fonts required for their correct display in order to display them as we have intended. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer is used to display our website. For more information about Google web fonts, see https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq. The general data protection declaration of Google applies here, which is available under https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/. Our legitimate interest in using Google web fonts is to ensure the website’s uniform appearance thus its functionality on all end devices. The legal basis of the processing is therefore Art. 6 par. 1 f. GDPR.

    Advertising

We have advertisements displayed on other websites to attract new customers. In order to address, in particular, people who have previously visited our website and therefore have a presumed interest in our products, we rely on advertising partners who use so-called retargeting functions.

    This concerns the following providers:

TrafficPartner B.V., Frans Erensstraat 14 A, 5921VG Venlo (eu-adsrv.rtbsuperhub.com) with the following data: IP address, http Header, UserAgent

For this function, your browser is assigned a pseudonymous identification number (ID) by the respective service provider in order to be able to process which ads have already been displayed in your browser and which you have called up. This is done by means of cookies which do not contain any other personal information. These cookies enable advertising to be placed on the websites that also use this service, based on your previous visits to our website or other websites.

The legal basis for the corresponding processing of your personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR. We hereby pursue the legitimate interest of acquiring new customers. In this respect, we believe that our advertising measures are more effective and therefore more successful if we display them when they are in the presumed interest of the user of the respective website. According to market knowledge, advertising that corresponds to the presumed interests of the website users is more effective and is clicked on more frequently.

In addition to the above options, you can also object to the corresponding use of your data by setting so-called opt-out cookies on the website of the Digital Advertising Alliance under the following link. In addition, you can set your browser so that it no longer accepts cookies from so-called third-party providers or only those that come from the website you are visiting. Furthermore, you can install an add-on such as uBlock Origin (https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/) in your browser, which allows you to further block data transfers to third parties. However, this may affect your ability to use our website.
